Appendix 10

Transition From Industrial To “Post-industrial” Society

Theses

1

Binary economics is not a “third way” between socialism and capitalism. It is “next stage” of social evolution in general and economy in particular.

2

Binary economics could be implemented in social practice only as part of transition of society from industrial to “post-industrial”. This is so, because existed capital already is owned and controlled by very few people.

3

Binary economics is neither “invisible hand” of free market nor planed economy. It is knowledge-based economy. “Post-industrial” society supposed to be knowledge-based also. So this should be “collaborative democracy” or netocracy, society based on emerging social networks and digital technology.

 4

Economy is only one component of all ongoing transitions to “post-industrial” society among many changes in social structure as: core values, decision-making mechanism, power elite, social consciousness and culture. All components are interconnected and should be considered and implemented accordingly.

 5

Globalisation (Humanisation) and Globalism are modern alternatives for evolutionary and revolutionary transitions from democracy to netocracy or from industrial to “post-industrial” society.

 6

Popular movements should create decision-making networks (DMN) to monitor political decisions on all levels on behalf of society. These social networks are feedback resembling human conscious. They will work as jury confirming which decision is moral and which is not.

 7

Popular movements should create also decision-making networks to solve social problems on all levels: global, regional, national and local, using wiki-based platform. (See NetsMind.org)

8

DMN should prepare “New Magna Carta”, outlining principles of social development and secure peaceful transition from democratic to netocratic society.
